By giving “two-nation theory” Pakistan proven its hand in Pahalgam terrorist attack: Maulana Kalbe Jawad

Shia community in Lucknow, India held protest to condemn the recent terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A protest was held at the historic Asafi Mosque after Friday prayers, led by Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi and organized by the Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, to condemn the recent terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

The demonstrators raised slogans like “Down with Terrorism,” “Down with Pakistan,” and “Hindu-Muslim Unity Zindabad,” demanding justice for the victims.

Participants carried placards expressing solidarity with the victims’ families and denouncing terrorism and Pakistan. In a symbolic act of protest, a representation of the Pakistani national flag was burned to express anger and grief.

On Maulana Kalbe Jawad’s call, General Secretary of the Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, the crowd observed two minutes of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by prayers (Fatiha) for the soul of Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain Shah. Maulana Raza Haider Zaidi also led prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, General Secretary of Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, said those who brutally killed unarmed and innocent tourists were enemies of humanity and must not be forgiven.

He strongly condemned the attack and demanded that the government ensure strict punishment for the perpetrators. He questioned how terrorists managed to reach Pahalgam and why there was a lack of security in an area filled with tourists. He called for accountability from the authorities.

Maulana further rejected Pakistan’s statement that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together in India, stating that such a notion is interference in India's internal matters. “Hindus and Muslims have lived together for centuries and will continue to do so,” he said.

He added that Pakistan’s “two-nation theory” is the root of its agenda to cause communal strife in India, but it will never succeed. Pakistan’s aim is to create hatred between Hindus and Muslims and start a civil war in India, but we will never let it succeed. “Those who try to divide Hindus and Muslims are Pakistan’s agents, whether they are Muslim or Hindu,” he declared.

He praised Kashmiri youths who saved Hindu tourists during the attack, proving that it was not Muslims who committed the act, but Muslims who helped save lives. He also warned that anyone seeking revenge through unlawful means is playing into Pakistan’s hands and should be dealt with by the law.

“Kashmir is part of our soul, and we will never let it separate from us,” Maulana said. He urged the Indian government to investigate the incident thoroughly and punish those responsible. He also called on the United Nations to declare Pakistan and Israel as terrorist states, saying that global terrorism is fueled by their agencies.

Maulana expressed disappointment that the world remained silent on the atrocities in Gaza. “The killing of innocent women and children in Gaza is a horrific crime. Netanyahu is the biggest terrorist, and the U.S. is the founder of global terrorism,” he said. He criticized extremists who celebrated the violence in Gaza and said perhaps now they understand the pain of losing a loved one.

Member of the Shia Waqf Board, Maulana Raza Hussain Rizvi, echoed these sentiments, saying Islam teaches standing with the oppressed and against oppressors. He paid tribute to all those martyred in Pahalgam and expressed condolences to their families, emphasizing that the attack was a failed attempt to create division between Hindus and Muslims.

Deputy Imam of Friday prayers, Maulana Syed Raza Haider Zaidi, also condemned the attack, demanded a fair investigation, and said those behind it must be punished. He assured that efforts to divide communities would never succeed. “Pakistan must stop interfering in our internal matters. We are capable of solving our issues together with our Hindu brothers,” he concluded.
